Q: What version of the Flash player is required for viewing amCharts? A: Flash Player 8 or higher. Q: Will I be able to use amCharts without a link to this web site after I buy a license? A: Yes, the link is displayed only in free versions of amCharts. Q: Will I receive the source code if I purchase a commercial license? A: No, source files are not included. Q: What Web server do I need to run amCharts? A: AmCharts are platform-independent, and require only a browser and the Flash player. You can run amCharts even on your computer, without a Web server (although some advanced functions might not work offline). Q: Can I generate data dynamically? A: Yes, you can. You can write your own PHP, ASP or other scripts, which will generate XML or CSV content from your data. In case your work with ASP.NET v.2 or higher we have a set of specialized controls to ease this task. Q: Can I use amCharts with Flex? A: No, unfortunately you cannot. AmCharts are programmed using ActionScript 2, and Flex loads files made with ActionScript 3. Q: What are ASP.NET controls for? A: ASP.NET controls is an optional extention of amCharts which will make using of them easier with ASP.NET. You can still use amCharts with ASP.NET without this extention. |
