amCharts JavaScript Maps are good for schematic maps. However, if you need more details, Google Maps is unbeatable.
This demo shows how to combine the two products. When the map is zoomed out, you will see amCharts Maps. When you zoom in significantly it will switch to Google Maps so you can continue zooming in down to street level.
The demo uses Google Maps JavaScript API.
